Burkholderia cepacia complex (Bcc) is an emerging pathogen causes life-threatening infections in cystic fibrosis patients. This narrative review aims to highlight an update on the epidemiology, the microbiological diagnostic methods, the antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and the most current as well the promising therapeutic options for Bcc. Although Bcc plays a role in crop growth due to its fungicidal activity and pesticide metabolizer, it has been frequently implicated in outbreaks in the United States and Worldwide due to contaminated medicines or medical devices.

Campylobacter is a major causative agent of bacterial gastroenteritis worldwide.1 In the Netherlands, the annual incidence of Campylobacter gastroenteritis was estimated at circa 5.6 cases/1000 inhabitants in 2009, and is the foodborne bacterium most frequently causing hospitalization.2 Guillain–Barré syndrome, reactive arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and inflammatory bowel disease, are among the possible sequelae of Campylobacter clinical infection. Altogether, Campylobacter is the foodborne pathogen with the highest human disease burden and the second highest economic costs in the Netherlands.

Bacteria belonging to the Enterobacter genus are widely spread in the environment. They are found in soil, sewage and drinking water reservoirs.1,2 They can be hosted by environmental amoeba,3 are associated with plants and have agricultural impact,4–8 and they can also be found in the intestinal microbiota of mammals, including that of humans.9 Although most human isolates are associated with carriage, Enterobacter species sometimes appear as pathogens,10 causing a wide range of invasive or localized infections, some of them being nosocomial.Cartoon Round Casual Short Popular Neck Rabbit Sleeves Tee Embroidered
